ANTI FASCISTS ORGANISE UNITY DEMONSTRATION AGAINST "RACIST EDL'S MISUSE OF MANCHESTER CENOTAPH"
UAF DEMONSTRATION BACKED BY CITY COUNCILLORS, TRADE UNIONISTS, FAITH AND COMMUNITY GROUPS
Councillors from Salford and Bolton add their voices to growing support for protest on Saturday, 1st June, 9.30 am St Peter's Square. next to Metrolink tram stop Manchester City Councillors Daniel Gillard and Julie Reid have backed the peaceful protest called by Unite Against Fascism against the English Defence League's plan to march to the city's cenotaph for the second weekend running. UAF has described the march as "a misuse of the cenotaph by the racist thugs of the EDL".
